Looking for ways to give back to your community or get involved in something meaningful? Look no further!
The DDA is involved in a range of events and projects from parades to grant applications to building design. There is something of interest for everyone.
DDA Committees:
Economic Vitality - Support existing businesses and fill downtown buildings with locally owned businesses. Meets the 2nd Thursday of every month at 10:30am.
Design - Shape the physical appearance and ambiance of downtown with special emphasis on historic preservation, building restoration/improvements, pedestrian friendly environments, beautification, artfulness, and a positive image that is appealing to residents, businesses, investors, and visitors alike. Meets the 4th Thursday of the month, every other month at 5:15pm.
Organization (Outreach) - Provide the framework for the operations, successful management, and sustainability of the DDA which includes attracting the people and financial resources needed to enhance downtown. Meets every other 4th Wednesday of the month at 7:30am.
Promotion - Plan and conduct DDA sponsored events in the downtown area to highlight the downtown business district, our community, and the DDA brand. Meets the 1st Thursday of every month at 4:30pm.
